submissions from around the world.
34
artists from several
different countries are represented including the USA, UK,
Italy, Mexico, South Africa, Poland, West Indies, Sweden, Denmark,
and the Netherlands/Holland.
Two of these photo-artists have been awarded a duo show in 2008.

Juror's Statement:
"In
keeping with the themes of this show, I was seeking works
that embraced the darker more ominous interpretation without
being literal. I was impressed by the diversity of the
artists who submitted work and found the challenge of
creating a cohesive exhibition stimulating.

About
the Juror: Libby Rowe is a professor of
photography at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Rowe holds a Master of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography
from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in
Photography from University of Northern Iowa. Her work addresses
the physiological, psychological and sociological issues of
being female. These ideas are explored through images,
installations, and sculptural objects each of which highlights a
different aspect of femaleness.
